It's interesting that dragging the clip to expand this didn't change the duration.Īddendum: it appears that the reinstall or driver update might have helped because now when I create a new generated clip, the media doesn't appear, but when I drag it to expand it it does appear, even though duration shows all 0s still. I changed the duration to something like 00:00:20.22 and the text appears now. The event was zero length when it is first created, so even toggling the match event length button did nothing at first(I never noticed this option before). What appears to have been the issue is that the duration option at the top of the generated text window was all 0s. I unsinstalled Vegas and reinstalled it (didn't bother deleting folders or registry entries yet). RESOLVED: I did several things but I think I know what happened. When you release the right button, a menu will appear. I have tried changing the alpha mode as well and this does nothing, though I can see the effect in the media browser. Next, right-click (and hold) on one of the selected fonts and drag onto the folder you created on the desktop. This issue appears to be with any clip created with generated media option, even ones that don't involve text. No text, just the grey box that is the size of the text. Create new generated text, and select that preset. I might try making those a preset.Įdit: copied a generated text clip from another open project(Copy paste, not importing the saved clip) I can open up old projects with generated text and they are fine and I can copy those from that project and paste them in a new project and see them. I might not have been clear but yes I tried this.
